Downloading a YouTube video has over the years been an issue for many. This is because YouTube was designed for users to stream. Not everybody wants to do this as this method drains data a lot, also some users might want to download and save YouTube videos to be watched later.
YouTube was founded in February 2005, it allows billions of people to discover, watch and share originally-created videos. YouTube provides a forum for people to connect, inform, and inspire others across the globe and acts as a distribution platform for original content creators and advertisers large and small.

Step by Step Guide On How to Download and Save YouTube Videos on Firefox Browser
Visit YouTube at https://www.youtube.com and sign in. You can use your Gmail or Google+ account to sign in to YouTube as YouTube is a Google product and you can operate almost all Google accounts with the same details. That’s the beauty of Google.
- Go to open menu options and then click on add-ons, a new tab will be opened
- Search for Download Helper at the top right side of the page and click on install
- Click on restart now to activate the add-on on your browser
- Go back to YouTube and you will see an icon on your browser
- Now, search for any video you wish to download and save in your computer
Once you have seen the video, just pause the video, right-click on the Download Helper icon and click on media and different forms of video file available, pick one, I prefer the mp4 file format and click on save and bingo, the file will save in your computer and you can watch it offline anytime you wish to. It’s that simple.
