No…you don’t essentially have to pop up at the front doors of total strangers or handshake every passerby on the street and strike a conversation.

Another way to find a problem to build your course around is by jumping on a snake platform like Quora or sub-Reddits along with your poll creation tools or your Google form. Before wasting your time and energy creating a product that won’t leave the shelf, a smoke test needs to be done. But what’s a smoke test? Fine, you already have a magic number that tells you that some people are interested in learning what you’re about teaching. But what you really need is a list of people that want to buy. To perform this test, the first step to be taken is to create a landing page. On your landing page, you highlight the offerings, features, price, and the benefits of your course. Use compelling visuals, a great copy, and an eye-grabby call-to-action button. Once your page is ready, dish it out to your audience through emails, social media blasts, and be specific about your targets.
Finally, stay at the top of your landing page and analyze the metrics from the result. A course that receives 100 click-throughs on its landing page is promising but the more important thing to note is that it has at least a 5% conversion rate.
