Whatever type of attitude you display, the rest of the company will follow suit.
Read on as I share with you some tips on how to become an influential entrepreneur.
Show Integrity
Lead your business with integrity. People have respect for honest leaders. People like to do their best work for leaders that they respect. When employees don’t respect their leaders, they tend to want to just clock in, do the bare minimum, and clock out.
Integrity includes honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and humility. If you make rules for others to follow, it is vital that you also follow your own rules. Hold yourself accountable just as you expect your employees to hold themselves accountable. Having integrity shows that you respect your company and the people in it. It also sets the bar high for everyone to follow your example.
Celebrate Accomplishments
When accomplishments are celebrated, it shows the team that they are valued. When people feel valued, they strive to continue in doing their best work. There is nothing worse than working hard to meet a goal, and then having a superior take all the credit.
Give people credit where it is due. By giving people props for their dedication, you earn their respect and dedication. When your team respects you, they have your back and they are willing to sacrifice for you.
Encourage Your Team
Being a good leader means being able to build people up where they need help. Every individual has different strengths and weaknesses. When you notice a weakness in an employee, brainstorm strategies to help strengthen them in that area. Instead of ridiculing or scolding them for mistakes, take time to talk to them. Ask how you can help them improve in that area. Maybe they need extra training or an online class to learn a specific set of skills.
When you sit down with them, make note of all the areas where you see value in them as well. This way they don’t feel that you are not just trying to point out their weaknesses, but that you acknowledge their strengths as well. Your motive is to help build them up. Employees have tremendous appreciation for leaders that show compassion.

Once the expectations are set on implementation, be assertive about timelines and deliverables.
It doesn’t matter if you have been in the industry for two weeks or three years. If you are lacking in any of these areas, it is never too late to grow. Continuous growth and development is key for an effective leader.
Following these simple tips will help you on your quest to becoming an influential entrepreneur.
