Principles Of Financial Prosperity – A Standard to Success

Let me start by asking you this vital question; DO YOU WANT TO BE WEALTHY OR POOR?

Your answer will determine if this article will change your life or not.

We talk a lot about venturing into one business or the other because we want to make a profit right? Yes, every business owner wants their business to be profitable but for one to succeed in anything in life, there are laid down principles one must follow.

I will be discussing the principles of financial prosperity with you from a biblical perspective to open up your mind to the world of financial fortune.

This is a vital topic that can change your life as an entrepreneur if you will abide by the information I will be sharing with you.

The Principles of financial prosperity will be a special topic as I will be getting most of my references from the holy book THE BIBLE.

First, we all know that God cannot lie, read Numbers 23:19. Now God said He will bless His children beyond their imaginations. He said in Philippians 4:19 that “He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.

Now ask yourself; why are some people rich and others are poor even when they all believe in God? God created all men equal with one head, two hands, two legs, etc yet some seem to be favored over the other.

You have even seen a situation where some physically challenged people make more money than the physically and mentally strong ones.

Now here this;

Do you know that to be a success or a failure is a choice?

Listen, God has blessed each individual with a special gift. He did not create you by mistake.

Every man/woman has a purpose while he/she is created. God made “all things good“. He knows what a particular creation of his can handle. All you need to do is search out the reason why He created you.

Have you discovered why God created you? Ponder on this question.

Now if you are yet to discover the purpose of your creation, things might not be very easy for you. He said in Isaiah 48:17 that He is the one that teaches you to profit, now do you think He will teach you to profit in what He has not called you?

“Enter every activity without giving mental recognition to the possibility of defeat. Concentrate on your strength instead of your weakness, on your powers instead of your problems” ~ Paul J. Meyer

You must know why you were created, it is very important if you must excel in whatever you are doing. Do you know that God hates lazy people? Proverbs 20:13a says, “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty”. Also, Proverbs 19:15 says, “Slothfulness cast into deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger”.

There is a saying “no food for a lazy man.”

Are you one of those who are waiting to get a well-paid job before you can start doing something?

You still have parents who are taking care of your needs even after training you through the highest level of education so you are not bothered and waiting for their connections to get a job.

Here me, you are lazy and God hates that. He said He will bless you by the works of your hands. God does not drop money or riches from heaven. He will only bless you through what you do per time.

You are either running with a vision, going on a mission or burning with a passion, If you do not belong to any of these, life is reduced to a burden. ~ Dr David Oyedepo

Now coming to the main topic of the day, do you know everything in life has principles? For a HARDWORKING man to prosper, there are some standards that God has set or commandments that He has given. God wants all men to prosper.

  • Do you know that money answers all things? Ecc 10:19
  • Do you know that money is a defense? Ecc 7:12
  • Do you know that money gives you a voice? Ecc 9:14-16
  • Do you know that money is not the root of all evil? The LOVE of money is. 1 Tim 6:10

For you to make it in life, you must note the following and genuinely believe in it;

  1. It is possible.
  2. It is your choice.
  3. You must be obedient to learn. (Acquire skills or knowledge)

Principles of Financial Prosperity (Biblical Standard)

Here are the things you must do (biblical standard) in other to prosper;

BE A CHEERFUL GIVER

God himself is a giver. He gave us His only son to die for us in atonement of our sin. He loves people that give. It is written in 2 Corinthians 9:7 that “God loves a cheerful giver”. That is why it is stated in these verses that when you give you will not lack and will be giving back also. SOME BIBLE VERSES THAT BACK GIVING INCLUDES; Luke 6:38. Proverb 11:24; Acts 20:34; Matthew 6:1-4; James 1:27.

For money to multiply, you must invest it into something right? Now when we give to the poor, we are investing in them, when we give to the church, we are investing in God’s kingdom and with every investment we make, He will replenish you more than you have given.

TITHE AND OFFERING

Yes, tithe and offering. Believe it or not. A tithe is one-tenth of all your income either as a salary earner or a businessman or a farmer. It is a command from God to His people. He said in Malachi 3:10 that we should bring all the tithes into His storehouse, that there may be meat in His house, and prove Him afterward, if He will not open the windows of heaven and pour out His blessing, that there shall be no room enough to contain it.

Proverbs 3:9-10 said 9 – Honor the Lord will thy substances, and with the first fruits of all thine increases: 10 – So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wines. If you don’t pay your tithe, you are robbing God. Malachi 3:8.

HAVE THE FEAR OF GOD

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Psalm 111:10 and Proverbs 1:7. The scripture also said that it is only fools that do not fear the Lord or keep his commandments. Also, Psalm 112:1 said –  Bless is the man that fears the Lord, that delight greatly in His commandments. So for a man to have Godly prosperity, such a man must possess the spirit of the fear of the Lord for only then will he receive the wisdom to get wealth.

MAKE GODLY CHOICES

God is a God of principles and He cannot change His ways to suit a particular man. We make decisions daily. The choice of the decision one makes in life per time can make or mar such a one. If you do not make godly choices in everything you do in life, it will affect you negatively in the long run. So before we make some business decisions, we need to seek the face of the Lord through prayer.

When making life choices and decisions, you need to ask yourself these questions;

  • Does the Bible support it?
  • Will it please God?
  • Is it ethical (Morally right)?
  • Is it legal?
  • Do you have a God-given gift/talent to carry it out?
  • What will your spiritual fathers say about it?
  • Will it solve a problem for mankind?
  • Do you have the resources to carry it out? How do you intend to raise funds?
  • Will it fulfill a godly desire that has been planted in your heart?
  • Do you have peace in your inner mind doing this?
  • BONUS – Is your spouse in support of it? (For couples)

Until some of these are answered, you should not take that decision.

DILIGENCE

It is said that “Faith without work is dead”. If we must succeed in life, the conventional way of hardworking should not be sidelined in the name of FAITH. You must be diligent and consistent in whatever your hand finds doing. It is the gift of men that makes room for them. Work to show yourself approved. The bible said in Proverbs 20:13 Do not love sleep lest thou come to poverty. So you must work in other to receive the blessings of God.

SOME DILIGENCE SYSTEM INCLUDES THESE SEVEN ‘Ts’

  • TASK: Until your assignment becomes a task, you might not get anything out of it.
  • TRAINING: You must be trained in whatever field you wish to engage in so you can compete favorably.
  • TARGET: Set a target for yourself and work towards achieving it.
  • TOOLS: Know the necessary tools required to achieve your goal.
  • TIMING: Always ask God for the perfect time for His time is the best. Ecc 3:1
  • TILLAGE: You must work out your own destiny. (Be hardworking)
  • TARRY: Matt 24:13. You must always endure. Do not be weary or easily discouraged by circumstances or situations.

In conclusion, I will like you to note this, “Always Think Positive, Be Positive and Positive Things Will Happen To You” Thank you for reading; please I want to crave your indulgence to make God a partner in whatever business you are doing. He is not a failure and will not like to see what He is part of fail. Prosperity is His name. I can see your business taking a new turn once you abide by these principles.

TO YOUR SUCCESS.
