New Year Message for Entrepreneurs and Startups
A New Year Message for Entrepreneurs and Startups – 2020 VS 2021
2021 is around the corner, and most entrepreneurs and startups are already counting their gains and losses in 2020.
Was 2020 a successful year for you?
Did your startup enjoy good patronage this year?
How badly did the pandemic affect your business in 2020?
As an entrepreneur, did you achieve your goals this year?
Did you meet or beat your target or was 2020 just another year that you have nothing to show as an achievement?
Well, that is how it is in business; ups and downs, but you must not give up.
You should note that your success does not solely rely on your hard work and dedication to duty. Time, Chance and opportunity play an important role in our journey to success.
Ecclesiastes 9:11 said, “I have seen something under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wiser or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all”.
So it is not all about how hard you worked or how dedicated you were to your duties alone but also how you were able to manage your time and the opportunities that come your way.
I want you to learn something today, and that is to learn how to make good use of all opportunities as they present themselves.
How do I mean?
For example, when you go for a business meeting or an investment workshop this new year, it should be the best time to relate and network with other participants, do not go for such meetings only to learn a new few things, use such medium to meet like-minded entrepreneurs, exchange contacts, ask questions about their own startups, how they manage it under the prevailing harsh conditions and dwindling economy.
You can also up your game by inviting some serious minds for dinner and seize the opportunity to share your business ideas with them and ask for their opinion on the best way to go about your business. You could also ask for collaboration if any buy into your idea.
So my fellow entrepreneurs, let the challenges, mistakes, or failure of 2020 not down your spirit instead set even taller goals this New Year.
Let your shortcomings in 2020 be no barrier. Just tell yourself you can do it, associate with the right people, be at the right place at the right time. Always consult successful entrepreneurs around you, read more books this New Year. Quit procrastinating and start taking actions.
Do not wait for the perfect time, there is nothing like the perfect time, the perfect time to effect that change, to start a new business, to set new goals, to meet other entrepreneurs is NOW.
Reduce the time you spend on social media sites and put more times in reading inspirational books that will stair you to act.
Have a To-Do list every day, and make sure you accomplish every item listed therein. You are not the only one having these issues of divided attention especially when online.
The Facebook Page of my business blog receive a lot of messages from fans seeking one advice or the order, I find myself on Facebook returning messages or replying comments or even searching great quotes by powerful entrepreneurs to inspire my followers when I still have a lot of work to do.
I normally have time apportioned to social media and try not to exceed them but once I am there, I always have my attention divided thereby spending more time than I should. I am minimizing this by apportioning time to it. Apportion time for all your activities online and offline and try to keep to it.
