2026 Anzisha Award for Young Entrepreneurs (Apply Now)
There is good news for Young African Entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 and 22 who have a running business or project that cuts across any field, ranging from arts and culture to science and technology or even civil society.
The African Leadership Academy (ALA), in partnership with MasterCard Foundation, has announced that young social and business entrepreneurs are currently invited to apply for the 2026 Anzisha Award for Young Entrepreneurs.
The Anzisha award is an event that seeks to reward young entrepreneurs who have developed and implemented innovative solutions to common challenges or implemented effective businesses within their communities. Applicants must be citizens of an African country and have a valid ID or passport.
12 finalists selected from the continent (Africa) will win an all-expense-paid trip as part of a week-long entrepreneurship workshop and conference on the campus of African Leadership Academy, and a $114,000 cash funding will be shared among the grand prize winners.

Potential Anzisha fellows will be judged based on the impact, ingenuity, scalability, and leadership potential of their businesses. Young people from any African background are encouraged to apply in any of these languages, English, Portuguese, Arabic, or French, and may check the requirements for registering here.
The Anzisha Prize is managed out of African Leadership Academy’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership, established through a multi-year partnership with The MasterCard Foundation. Through it, organizers seek to catalyze innovation and entrepreneurship among youth across the continent.
Prospective young entrepreneurs who wish to create the Anzisha effect can apply here (please note: applications are now closed), but you can follow Anzisha on Facebook for updates on the next round.
I urge our young fans @TheTotalEntrepreneurs to take this opportunity to showcase their businesses/projects. Remember, the application closes on November 21, 2025.
Share with your loved ones if you are older than the stipulated age. Good luck.
