Jumia Customers to Buy Now and Pay Later Using FirstBank Naira Credit Cards
Jumia Partners FirstBank Nigeria Limited on first ever online post-paid purchase for customers using FirstBank Credit Cards.
Nigeria’s online retailer, Jumia.com and FirstBank of Nigeria Limited entered into this partnership to enable online shoppers with FirstBank Naira credit cards to shop on the Jumia website and pay later in installments.
Jumia in a statement said, “Customers need not go through the hassle of visiting the banking hall for a FirstBank Naira Card. Applying directly on the Jumia website while they place their order does the trick.”
According to Jumia, “Once the order is placed, the Naira Credit Card is processed and the customers order confirmed within 72 hours.”
It also said that, “Shoppers can now enjoy longer payments lead times gaining up to 45 interest-free days with delivery between10-12 days.”
The statement noted that the partnership was inspired by the partners’ understanding that e-commerce has become a strong factor for economic growth with persistent initiatives to empower Nigerians and Nigeria. Recognizing the shift in the way customers think and what they want per time, the institutions have continually positioned to provide excellent services regardless of the situation.
It said: “FirstBank’s partnership with Jumia Nigeria is in consonance with the Bank’s culture to put customers first and support leading business innovations which would provide convenience for the customer.”

Recall also that FirstBank Nigeria Limited few months ago partnered PayPal, an international e-commerce payment platform known for their efficient and secure mode of online payments to help boost online transactions in Nigeria.
